“I just love them – who doesn’t? When Björn Again opened for Nirvana at the Reading festival they stole the show and got the best response of the day – everyone went berserk” Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters/Nirvana)
Björn Again was created and founded by director and musician Rod Stephen in 1988 in Melbourne, Australia. Designed as a light-hearted parody of the Swedish pop group ABBA, the show rapidly became a brand in its own right and has achieved cult status. Having been acknowledged by Björn Ulvaeus as the show that single-handedly initiated the ABBA revival in the late ’80s and early ’90s, is without a doubt one of the most popular and successful shows of its type.
Based in North London, Stephen’s production company has done more than 5,400 performances in 72 countries over the 33 years since he launched it.
With good wishes from ABBA’s blonde vocalist Agnetha Fältskog as his ultimate aim, Stephen has also racked up plenty of highlights – from performing at Buckingham Palace for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and The Duke of Edinburgh for Christmas in 2012 to touring with Cher and Shania Twain.
Björn Again has also played at such prestigious venues as Wembley Arena, the Royal Albert Hall, the London Palladium and Hyde Park.
Performing all of ABBA’s greatest hits in their own unique way, Björn Again’ promises to be one of the biggest parties this summer!
Speaking about the tour, Stephen said, “Come and join us for loads of great songs combined with tonnes of fun and antics.”
